Cookie Policy
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains the use of cookies, local storage and similar technologies on https://herotraining.app.
2. Categories Used
Strictly necessary
Purpose: security, reliable delivery, form operation, remembering that you have already joined the launch list or closed the sign-up prompt, and storage of your cookie choice
Consent: not requested where legally exempt
Retention: for the duration needed to provide the requested function; the consent choice may be stored for up to 12 months, and the fact that you closed the sign-up prompt for up to 30 days
Analytics
Purpose: understand visits and interactions and improve the landing page through Google Analytics
Consent: required before activation
Retention: Google Analytics user-level and event-level data: 14 months
Marketing
Purpose: advertising measurement and attribution through the Meta pixel: recognising that a visit or an early-access sign-up followed an advertisement, and measuring which advertisements work. Data is shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for this purpose. Where the early-access form is submitted, the email address is hashed in the browser and only that hash is sent, so the sign-up can be attributed to an advertisement without transmitting the address itself
Consent: required before activation; the pixel is not loaded at all until consent is given
Retention: set by Meta; cookies placed by the pixel typically expire within 90 days, and event data is retained under Meta's own policies
3. Consent Choices
- Google Analytics and the Meta pixel both remain blocked until consent is given. Neither is loaded before that, so no request reaches Google or Meta on a first visit.
- Analytics and advertising measurement are accepted or rejected together. There is no way to accept one and refuse the other.
- Accept analytics and ads and Reject non-essential are presented as real choices.
- Scrolling, inactivity or a pre-selected option are not treated as consent.
- A Cookie settings link allows the choice to be changed later.
- Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.
